Our mission is to support the learning process by ensuring that everyone has access to information and modern technology through computers, internet connections, and renewable energy solutions.

Together, through Laptops4Hope, we bring light and opportunity to thousands of children in underprivileged areas. For them, a laptop is not just a piece of technology — it became a window to the world of learning, a chance to dream bigger, and proof that someone out there believes in their potential.......

FIRST ACI ISP IN HISTORY: 2015-2019

EYES FOR THE WORLD

History:

After many years of contributing to Ladies’Circle International’s Service Projects, the Agora Club International board and councillors decided it was time to launch ACI’s own International Service Project.

In 2014, an international pilotproject called “Eyes for the World” was launched. This Belgium-based organisation developed self-adjustable spectacles for children. The project was initiated by Veerle De Jonge and Sandy van Niekerk in the Limpopo region, a rural area of South Africa. Its target group consisted of OVC (Orphaned and Vulnerable Children)—the poorest of the poor, including disabled and abused children.

The pilotproject deeply touched the hearts of Agora members worldwide. Following its presentation at the ACI Annual General Meeting in 2015 in Milan, Italy, it was officially elected as the first-ever ACI International Service Project.
