JILL BREES

ACI President 2024-2025

(AC Belgium)

Jill's motto :

Hello and welcome to our Agora world!

I am filled with immense pride to represent such a remarkable group of individuals. It is truly an honour to be part of a community that embodies warmth, support and collaboration. Together, we are more than just a network; we are a family that has the potential to make a meaningful impact in the lives of many.

This year, my primary goal is to enhance our visibility, to grow  and strengthen our collaboration within the RT Family. I believe that by working together and sharing our unique strengths, we can amplify our voice and extend our reach. Each one of us brings something special to the family and it is crucial that we harness this collective power.

I would like to emphasize the pride we should all feel in being part of this family. We are strong women and together we move mountains. That strength lies in our resilience and our determination. Our strength , our growth, our pride, they are not  just for ourselves, but to open doors that have long been closed. We are strong women, a title we wear with pride!

In closing, I urge you all to "Release Your Power" Embrace the unique contributions you bring to our family and let’s work together to create a bright future. I am looking forward to an inspiring year ahead, full of collaboration and growth.

BIG 5 IN 2025

SERVICE :

Locally, Nationally, Internationally

WHAT DOES SERVICE MEAN TO US?

Every Agora Club individually decides how it will participate in service.

The philosophy of service is not just helping in major service projects, but being ready to help people who are less fortunate, especially women and children.

Since 2009 ACI supported and contributed to the LCI International Service Projects, such as Ecpat, Viva Con Agua, Children of the Dump, All4Nepaland and Little big Help.

Since 2015 we decided to run our very own 2-yearly International Service Project, starting with Eyes For The World, Keep a Girl Child in School, the Knitting Project.

INTERNATIONAL SERVICE PROJECT 2023-2025

"LAPTOPS 4 HOPE"

The use of technology starts from an early age. Education is every child's chance to have a better life, to achieve personal, social and professional succes.

With this project Agora aims to offer children in less priviledges situations access to information, education and modern technology by providing them with laptops, internet connection and green energy

How does it function:

Our association, through its members, promote the project in their communities and encourage persons and companies to donate the laptops and tablets they do not use any more but are functional and complete. Donations of money are also welcome ("ISP Donation")

INTRODUCING A SPECIAL PROJECT :

"STARS OF THE ATLAS"

In September 2023, in the Atlas Mountains, the province of Al Haouz, in the region of Marrakech, Kingdom of Morocco, was the epicenter of an earthquake of magnitude 6.8.

The geographical isolation of this region coupled with poverty has had a strong impact on the health and even more so on the menstrual hygiene of young girls and women.

Lack of access to menstrual hygiene products increases the risks of infections and complications.

Agora Club International & 41 Club International join forces to help.

With the proceeds of the sale of morrocan liquid argan soap we will be able to help with the distribution of personal and menstrual hygiene kits.

You can buy liqiud argan soap at €15 or a set at €20 in our ACI shop.
